What is the Cardinal Card?
The Cardinal Card is a multi-functional identification card that provides access to a variety of services at CUA without requiring students to carry multiple cards. All registered students are provided a Cardinal Card, which allows use of the Library, Health Services, and the DuFour Athletic Center. Additionally, each card is individually programmed to permit use of the meal plan selected by a student and to access his\her assigned residence hall. Funds may also be deposited on the Cardinal Card to simplify cash purchases on-campus and at selected businesses off-campus.
Security
As an identification card a student's, faculty member's or staff member's electronic photograph is prominently displayed; the card includes a predetermined campus identification number to be used for campus services. It eliminates the need for two or more separate cards in that a proximity chip is embedded into the identification card itself. Facilities including residence halls, the Pryzbyla Center, laboratories, laundry facilities in residence halls and other buildings currently available to students are accessible using the card.
Convenience
This Cardinal Card can also be used as a debit card for business transactions on campus such as food services, the payment of University fines such as library and Public Safety fines, and health services. It will be utilized in the future for on-campus vending. The Cardinal Card can also be used for off-campus purchases at local dining establishments and businesses.
Cardinal Cash
Accessing your debit account is easy and secure. You can do so at the
Cardinal Card website or the Cardinal Card Office. Here you can add Cardinal Cash to your account using American Express, Visa or MasterCard. You can also manage your account and track transactions.
